Correctional Education and Professional Development

Before you start to work your way through this Professional Development day, there are a couple of PDFs below that you should read.

The first of these is an introduction to the history and place of Correctional Education in Western Australia.   At the end of this document is also a list of various studies and papers that have been published on the role of education in correctional institutions, both internationally and in Australia.

The second is a little historical information about earlier prison reformers and educators.  It is always useful to have some perspective of what has gone before.
