USQ runs an online news site as part of the Making the Connection Project, aimed at improving access to higher education for low socio-economic status students with ICT limitations.

The project is a federally funded project granted under the Higher Education Participation and Partnership Program (HEPPP) which aims to remove barriers to study for students from lower social-economic backgrounds throughout Australia.

The Corston Report

In 2007, the British Government asked Baroness Jean Corston, who had been the Labour Member of Parliament for Bristol East from April 1992 to 2005, to conduct an investigation into the place of vulnerable British women in the criminal justice system.  The 'Corston Report' has had a large and ongoing effect on the housing and sentencing of women prisoners in Britain.
