Driver Education
The Driver Education and Training Programme (DETP) is managed by the Education and Vocational Training Unit of DCS and is designed to assist offenders in custody in obtaining a WA driver’s licence.
The Driver Education and Training Programme provides training to offenders in custody who wish to obtain a driver’s licence. The programme is coordinated by the Driver Education and Training Co-ordinator of DCS and is available to adult offenders in custody who are:

within twelve (12) months of release
-
on parole
-
on work release
-
attending a Community Justice Centre
